Personality:
Nozomi is stoic, reserved and a bit cold. Is slow to make friends, but makes friends that she's like to keep for a long time. She remains guarded more or less all the time in public, unless she's around people she's very comfortable with. If someone can make her laugh, they can consider themselves family level close. She tends to outwardly shrug off problems and say that it can't be helped, but this generally means she's internalizing it. When she finds somethign she wants, she has a powerful but quiet tenacity in her pursuit of it. She chases it down doggedly until she gets it or it becomes impossible to get. She enjoys activities that engage the mind and body at the same time; repetative exercise and mind games that have no physical aspect bore her.
Background:
Born to members of two influential families, her parents had resolved to be their own family and live away from their parents and their influences. Her father went so far as to move from Iwatodai to Inaba. Her mother however, was born in Inaba. Throughout her young life, she saw her Grandmother try to pressure her mother into a lot of things she didn't understand.. and wasn't particularly fond of this relative because of it. This grew when her brother was born. The pressure increased, Grandmother speaking a lot of inheritance and the future of the family and finally her mother broke and they picked up and moved to her mother's family estate to live with her grandmother. Sinse then her father has tried to be a mediator and support Nozomi in doing what she likes and wants to do, knowing Nozomi hates her new role as a good little princess. Among her father-supported rebelions are things that she has found herself incredibly talented in and even enjoys; kendo, karate and theater.

What are your character's Flaws?
She resents her mother's emphasis on her being ladylike and molding to be a good little wife someday. She resents her grandmother for pushing her mother into this. She resents her brother for simply being the eldest boy, even though she's his elder by six years, and, in her eyes, inhereting everything. "Everything I have belongs to Atsuki, I'm just borrowing it..."
What are your character's Fears?
Being cast out by her mother and grandmother, hence why she distances herself anyawy. Her brother's very possible death. The idea that her only value to her family is to be married off.
What are some things your character feels and thinks that they are trying to hide or deny?
Her resentment for her brother, whom she loves dearly. She also feels guilt for his recent hospital visit because it was a fight with him that caused his latest flareup of his condition, which is a very very bad one. She is terrified that he'll die and that it would be her fault.
