Background: A resident of Inaba since his first year of high school, Yosuke is the son of the first General Manager of the Junes department store that opened up in Inaba. Having worked at the store since it opened, he has recently been promoted to an upper management position himself.

Background: A native of Inaba, Chie began studying and training to enter the police force as soon as she graduated high school. She is now a plainclothes detective, with longtime friend and fellow detective Naoto Tatsumi as her sempai.

Background: A native of Inaba, Yukiko grew up as the 'princess' of the local inn. While initially rejecting that the inn was her future, after her second year of high school, her resolve hardened and she decided to face her future with enthusiasm. She is now apprenticed to her mother and acting as the inn's proprietress as she learns the intricacies of the business.

Background: An Inaba native turned pop idol and actress, Rise returned to Inaba during her first year of high school to take a hiatus from her stardom, feeling that her real self was swallowed up by her public face. After a year off she returned to show business, refreshed, taking on a more personal take on her career and releasing a more serious and personal fare to her audiences. Recently she has returned to Inaba for another hiatus after a very public fallout with her very public boyfriend, another actor.

Background: Kanji is an Inaba native and in his youth, had a reputation as a thug and troublemaker. This was because he had interests and hobbies that he considered to be quite unmanly and lashed out at people so they wouldn't be able to reject him. He has since embraced his passions (though is still the same old Kanji more or less) and has taken over the family shop, which he also sells his own hand made crafts out of.

Background: The granddaughter of a famous detective, she spent much of her young life imitating that, leading her to present herself like a boy and act beyond her age in her teen years. While she has not completely shaken these mannerisms, she has accepted her true self, and is now a respected plainclothes detective for Inaba's police department.

Background: Not much is known about Teddie, other than that he appeared in town nine years ago and moved in with the Hanamura family, doubling as a coworker for young Yosuke and as a costumed mascot for the store. He provided his own costume and nobody knows where he got it. Presently, he is a second year home room teacher at Yasogami High School, continuing the school's tradition of strange or eccentric educators.

Background: A resident of Iwatoudai City's Tatsumi Port City, she has very recently moved to Inaba and with a suspicious lack of ceremony, has begun teaching Science at Yasogami High School. She is a liked teacher, but often seems distracted or excuses herself to make phone calls. She also has a penchant for leaving school as soon as the bell goes off and disappearing to parts unknown.

Background: A local celebrity and television personality, Mariko does a few talk show bits and even periodically sits in on (relatively) locally produced variety shows, but her main job is as Inaba's weather forecaster, which she quite nonchalantly does with accuracy that is uncanny.

Background: A graduate of Yasogami high school and former captain of it's soccer club, Daisuke has returned to Yasogami as the main Physical Education teacher and the faculty coordinator for the athletic clubs, making him more busy than he is accustomed to being.

Background: A graduate of Yasogami high school, she is now a housewife and married to Yasogami's PE teacher. She can often be found in the Shopping District or Okina City rather than at home, however.

Background: A graduate of Yasogami High and a sort of apprentice and companion to former second year home room teacher Noriko Kashiwagi, Hanako has managed to land a job as a first year homeroom teacher. Arrogant and vain (for reasons few can comprehend), she is not well liked by her students.

Background: A single father and former detective in the Inaba Police Department, Dojima is now the Department's Chief Inspector. While still quite the workaholic, he has managed to find a way to balance his home life and his work life.

Background: A nurse who transferred to the Inaba Municpal Hospital about a decade ago. At first she had a very lacadaisical attitude towards her work and was openly flirtatious with male members of hospital staff. That changed seemingly overnight however, when she received some bad news and she became quite the taskmaster. Eight years ago she left the hospital to join a volunteer group to give medical assistance to the poor in other countries. Last year she returned and is now a head nurse at the Municipal Hospital.

He had a rough time of adjusting as his brave face was misconstrued as apathy. Lately he is doing better and is running the family's liquor store, though he feels himself in a bit of a rut.
